Dream About weeds

Pamela Ball Interpretation: also see Plants

1- Weeds are generally plants which grow on waste ground and their symbolism in dreams reflects this. Thev mav indicate misplaced trust, misplaced energy or even misplaced attempts at success. They do not contribute a tremendous amount to our lives and if allowed to run riot or to overgrow can stop our own positive growth.

To be digging up weeds would show that we are aware that by freeing our life of the nonessential we are creating space for new growth and new abilities.

2- Mental attitudes which clog us up and do not allow us to move forward and old patterns of behaviour can very often be shown in dreams as weeds. We may need to decide which of these weeds are helpful to us (that is which could be composted, transferred into something else and made use of to help positive growth) or which need to be thrown awav. Often plants growing wild have healing properties. By using these properties we can enhance our lives, for instance, dandelion tea is a natural diuretic, and dreams can often tell us what we need.

3- Weeds, by courtesy of their irritating qualities and refusal to be quickly eradicated, symbolise spiritual difficulties.

Patrica Telesco Interpretation

(see Garden. Path)

Negative aspects of your own behavior, or unhealthy ideas, that need to be cleared away before real growth can occur.

Problems growing into a relationship or situation that must be rooted out for any type of positive results.

Her grown: Something in your life that’s gotten out of control, and now obscures the natural beautv within.

Positive outcomes from annoying situations. Xot all weeds are useless. Dandelions, for example, may be made into coffee, salads, and wine.

The difference is in how they are viewed and applied. Try looking at your current circumstances differently for a moment, and see if you can’t make the most of them.

Psychological / emotional perspective: Mental attitudes and old patterns of behaviour that clog us up and do not allow us to move forward can very often be shown in dreams as weeds. We may need to decide which of these weeds are helpful to us – that is, which could be composted, transferred into something else and made use of to help positive growth – or which need to be thrown away. Often plants growing wild have healing properties and by using these properties we can enhance our lives. Such information can be given intuitively in dreams.

Silvana Amar Interpretation

Weeds as dream symbols represent neglect. They suggest that the dreamer has not been regularly tending his physical or psychological environment. Weeds are indicative of negativity as well as growth of useless and harmful elements in the dreamer’s life. Just as we need to weed out the garden to have healthy plants, we need to weed out the negativity in our minds and lives to grow fully. Weeding in dreams suggests a releasing of stifling and useless thoughts and actions, which frees the mind and improves relationships.

Dr. Mıchael Lennox Interpretation

Your random thoughts of worry, doubt, and anxiety may be crowding out your ability to feel joy. Weeds are the unwanted plants that disrupt our sense of harmony created by the lovely flowers or vegetables we would rather have growing in our gardens.

If allowed to, weeds would overtake what we are cultivating and strangle the life out of what we have chosen to plant. In a dream, weeds represent these ubiquitous thoughts, habits, and patterns.

Belter Greg Interpretation

Remove some of those unruly emotions inside of yourself. Weeds in dreams show us we need to help the garden grow, as well as ourselves, within the area of enriching the spiritual ground which we must tend to. One by one each negative feeling either leaves our body, or it will stay to cause mental suffering. Look at them as if they were soft weeds in the garden, and the type that were easily disposed of without much effort at all.

Georg Fink Interpretation

If the field in your dream is overgrown by weeds, this indicates that you may become disheartened in real life. This image could also be a hint that in real life you overestimate your status. Another message could be that you should take care of the weeds in your own garden before criticizing the gardens of others. (See also “Moor.”) WEIGHT LOSS Dreaming about weight loss could mean that an argument regarding a certain issue is rather “thin.” Weight loss also points to the “lean years” being almost over, and to an increase in status. If you dream of a number of complete strangers who are very emaciated, this could be a message from the unconscious that there are many people who are much worse off than you are. WET NURSE A wet nurse suckling a baby, when the dreamer is a woman, is often a sign of a repressed desire to be a mother. This image could also be a message from the unconscious that you need outside help in dealing with something. When you are the wet nurse in the dream, this is a warning that in real life others are taking advantage of you.

Cathleen Connor Interpretation

Julia and Derek Parker Interpretation

Sometimes beautiful, but in general undesirable, sometimes positively choking the cultivated flowers of the garden. A strong growth of w'ecds may represent aspects of your personality which you recognise (at least unconsciously) as being undesirable, and which are standing in the way of progress, whether spiritual or real. If you were trying to uproot them, an encouraging symbol; if they entirely took over the garden, a warning. Could they represent other people? 11 so, look for a pun in their names. Are you being ‘a weed’ — failing out of nervousness to take necessary action?

Tony Crisp Interpretation

Things you have developed in your life that are not contributing much, or might even be stopping more positive personal growth; misplaced endeavor or energy. See plants.
