Dr. Mıchael Lennox Interpretation: The preparation process for an upcoming performance, a rehearsal is where you get to perfect something that will be presented in the future. To dream of a rehearsal is to be connecting with this desire to be as prepared as possible for some future moment where you want to put your best foot forward.
Anything that happens in a rehearsal in a dream is connected to how you are feeling about something that is being created in your consciousness. Use the context of the dream to understand what area of your life is being worked on and how the process is going.
This dream is recommending you to think before acting. You must organize your thoughts, review them, and avoid rushing. The role the dreamer plays in the rehearsal is significant because it may be advising you how to act. The rest of the casting and the director will help you to relate the dream to real life.
To dream that you are attending a rehearsal, suggests that you are getting ready for “grown-up” life. This dream also suggests that you are eager to display your talents and achieve your goals.
To dream that you are attending a rehearsal suggests that you are preparing yourself to deal with the realities of the outside world.
To be present at a Rehearsal presages difficulties in the present but honours in the future.
2. Honor and fulfillment to come.
Preparation for high achievement
Opportunity to achieve a successful outcome by developing my talents more fully rather than just going through the motions
denotes the “practicing” of one’s belief; walking one’s talk
In general, we rehearse for a performance, and the reference may be of some waking situation in which pretence of some kind is involved. Sometimes we have experiences which are ‘a rehearsal for life’. If the rehearsal went badly, you forgot your lines (see Recitation?) then the suggestion must be that you have not prepared sufficiently well. But perhaps you were confident and all went well? In that case, in a sense the dream is reassuring; but the fact that you dreamed of rehearsal rather than performance sug-gerts that you are still not entirely sure of your lines - or the line you are about to take — in some relevant situation in waking life. And think: was there some hint of reproach in the dream? - some suggestion that real life (i.e., honesty) is better than pretence? Remember that plays have sometimes been considered wicked because they tell lies - they are not ‘real’. See Theatre?
A rehearsal in your dream represents that you are preparing yourself for something important in your life. Perhaps this is the test before the big show!
