Dream About armor

Martha Clarke Interpretation: If you dream that you are wearing armor it should be interpreted as the way you defend yourself from external influence. You fear getting hurt and therefore, you protect yourself, hiding your feelings. Armor can also symbolize strength and resistance against adversity. This is not always positive because in these cases the dreamer is often too enclosed in her own shell.

It is likely that an individual with armor or shield is incapable of spontaneous interaction with people. In dreams, both protections are symbols that demonstrate anxiety. You must ask yourself what is it you want to defend yourself from.

If you question your motives a little, you may discover you do not need to be so sheltered. With a little self-confidence and trust you can overcome it. In the case the armor refers to something that you will face in real life, it means that you are brave and well prepared.

If you dream of carrying heavy armor it means you are taking life too seriously, without enjoying it. Those who believe in reincarnation interpret it as a vestige of past lives.

If historical facts are revealed during the dream it will be interesting to prove their authenticity. Perhaps, you are remembering facts from your ancestral past . . .

Theresa Cheung Interpretation

If you are dressed in armor in your dream, do you need to protect yourself against something or someone? In donning such heavy attire, you are better protected but you also restrict your movement; perhaps your unconscious is telling you that it might be better to open up about what is troubling you, instead of keeping it a closely guarded secret.

If chains feature alongside the armor, this is a symbol of enslavement and unhappiness with your current commitments.

If your chains break or are broken, this is a positive sign.

Silvana Amar Interpretation

Armor could represent your defense mechanisms, those things that you use to protect yourself from self and/or others (e.g., denial and repression). If weapons are mixed with the armor or shield in one’s dream, it means that one’s enemies cannot reach him or cause harm to him.

If one sees his armor laying down at his reach in his shop or place of business while dealing with his customers in a dream, it means that such a merchant is untruthful and he uses claims of honesty as a shield.

Armor protects us in battle. Where is the armor on the body? Are you wearing it? Is someone else? Is it shiny, rusty, serviceable? What do you need to protect?

Tony Crisp Interpretation

The emotional and intellectual rigidity we use to protect ourselves from hurt. Can depict muscular tension that blocks free-flowing sexuality and feelings; defense systems, such as frantically arguing for our beliefs, or killing out feelings in a relationship; fear of getting hurt—but also ability to protect oneself from hurt or attack; barrier to stop other people “getting through to you”; hardness of heart; defensive attitudes; self-doubt; inner conflict. If the armor is seen as defensive, it may point to deep anxieties in regard to what is suggested by the dream action—such as relationship, work, health.
